Your round of golf at The Clarens Golf Estate begins at the stylish clubhouse, strategically positioned to view the finish of both nines.
The course is closed on Mondays.
Our new events centre caters for small, intimate board meetings to functions up to 100 people. Our dedicated teams aim to please and ensure that folks leave with a memory of the quiet life here in Clarens.
Clarens is renowned for its art scene and the town hosts a range of interesting shops, restaurants, leisure and country life experiences, for any energetic or relaxing visitor.
It is with regret that we advise that the 2018 Clarens Open, due to take place on Saturday 1 and Sunday 2 December, has had to been postponed.
As a result of some difficulties/challenges experienced recently, the golf course greens are unfortunately not in a suitable condition for this event. The Clarens Golf and Leisure Estate Management feels therefore that it would be preferable to postpone the championship until early next year when the greens are fully recovered and in first-class condition once again.
Notification regarding the new date will be circulated as soon as possible.
Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
The Clarens Golf & Leisure Estate is ready. The course has been measured, demarkated, new scorecards printed and everybody has been briefed. From September 3rd 2018 your Course Handicap will be calculated as follows: Course Handicap = (Handicap Index* Slope Rating/113) + (CR-Par). The Course Handicap, once calculated, is rounded up (≥0.5) or down (<0.5) to a whole number.
The Clarens has the Course Handicap Conversion Tables at the ProShop and Douglas is standing by to help.
